'All I Can Say' Review: The Life and Death of a Rock Star, in His Own Words
A documentary on Shannon Hoon - made up of camcorder footage shot by the Blind Melon frontman himself - beautifully humanizes a rock-casualty story https://www.rollingstone.com/m...w-blind-melon-1018541/ |

Yesterday I listened to the three albums by Blind Melon on Apple music. Every song is really good. They were such a special band. Also, I didn't realize it back in the 90s but they really were a Southern Rock Band in the age of Grunge.

I had tickets to the show. They were in New Orleans and I was stoked to see them. Canceled. Forever. Apparently coming from a place where the heroin gets stepped on repeatedly gives you the impression that heroin in a port city like New Orleans should be the same. It wasn't. Poor bastard had so much more to share but that's what heroin does, it takes all of you sooner or later and even those who do kick are still dogged by it.
