BUT, a musical where the actors start singing, dancing and prancing around? NO! Too weird. Like I said, I used to be in to theater, even in a few plays, 50 years ago, , , ,. BUT, I quickly figured out that most of the "musical" type folks were way too "artsy" for my liking! I was never one to be "anti" homo but, most of those folks were just plain creepy gay. Sorry.

But, in the end, I guess everybody needs to have a job that they are good at.

Way to express your homophobia Ding. That's good therapy for you. Keep working it out...

Hamiliton wasn't gay enough. Hedwig is where it is at...

So my wife and I have watched Hamilton a total of 3 times since. It truly is a gateway drug to American history. I have since read countless wiki pages, watched various youtube documentaries and such. Even google mapped where Fort Washington was in New York City. <--OCD kicked in for that one! I am now kicking myself for not paying attention in high school and college american history classes! There are a lot of interesting stuff.

I'm also getting ready to read the book Hamilton by Ron Chernow. I had bought it in the Chicago airport on our way home after seeing the live broadway show there. I had all the intentions of reading it and I did start it. But, it is a very thick book. But, now with social distancing, I think I have more time sitting on the back porch and reading. Wish me luck!

And, if you haven't watched Hamilton yet...Why Not? I see the earlier replies, 'I don't like musicals'...That's fine, but at least give it a try. To me this show is a masterpiece of our generation.

I thought about the book too. I think it even adds to Miranda's creativity in humanizing those people in such a universal way. "Like me, you will never be satisfied" is probably not in the book. Or maybe it is. I guess in need to read up on that.

How about Hamilton performing in front of the Queen and all the royals for the jubilee last weekend!
