I just saw the Buffett concert. He's 72. He can still entertain a huge crowd and outside a sea of floral prints, sandals and ponytails on balding heads. It's cliche to say he sings the songs we know by heart but it was fun.

Margaritaville opened its latest RV resort in Auburndale Florida as it continues to expand its RV park footprint. The brand wants to open up to 50 RV resorts nationwide over the next five years. Margaritaville's ventures currently include resorts, senior living communities, and a new cruise brand.

I used to love seeing Buffet at UF on the Reitz lawn for free in the early 70s. And better yet, the surfer girls I liked loved him even more. Every show ended up being a great night. That said, I wouldn't be caught dead going to anything Jimmy Buffet now. Jimmy Buffet trailer (RV) park?? You've got to be kidding. He is a huckster and his followers are all the "I grew up at the beach" wannabes. "Let's dress up and drink margeritas and get trashed! Don't I look cool in my JB Aloha shirt and JB coolie cup with straw wrapping around my head?? What about my plastic parrot and plastic flip flops?? Coooooooool!"

Yuck

I too attended those free UF concerts. They were loads of fun. Still listen to some of his music from back then. Brings back some good memories. I have a Margaritaville Frozen Concoction maker. Makes a pretty good frozen drink.

I would think it was a parody if it weren't real as hurricane season.
