gators make ESPN bottom ten:
5. Flexas (or Torida?) It is rare to have two teams sharing the Coveted Fifth Spot. (Does that make it the Coveted 2.5 spot?) But here we are. Texas lost to then-Bottom 10 No. 1-ranked Kansas in Austin, the first Big 12 road victory for the Nayhawks in 4,788 days. The last time KU won a conference game on the road was Oct. 4, 2008. The No. 1 film at the box office that week was Leo DiCaprio's "Body of Lies." Speaking of, how about Florida head coach Dan Mullen getting mad at people for referring to a 70-52 win over Samford as "disappointing" despite the fact that the Bulldogs are an FCS team with a losing record and racked up 42 first-half points, a record for any Swamp visitor in 115 years of Gators football? Who knew that the emperor's new clothes included custom-made Jordans? https://www.espn.com/college-f...conn-see-hope-fleeting |

I would not be the least bit surprised to see the gators lose to Missou and FSU and lose their toilet bowl eligibility. Its that kind of year.

Defense looks surprisingly sharp against the best rusher in the SEC.

That's probably not a going to go well. I see no one waiting in the wings that's as good or better but we shall see. I think FSU wins next week.

Spurrier, though I love him dearly, is too old, plus he loves his current position. Meyer was a success on the field (for a short while), but he was a hired gun. His heart was never Orange and Blue and he never embraced the fans. It was "us vs. them" and "them" was anybody not in the locker room. He said all the right words (at first), but, then disengaged entirely sending Charlie Strong out to all the gatherings, etc. He also ran a program on the edge of integrity.

All that said, I have no idea who to bring in. I was not a Mullen fan when they hired him, preferring Tom Hermanson over all. But, I read an article recently on all the guys who moved in 2017 and NONE of them had success. Looking back, Mullen has had the most. Lots of "Flavors of the month" out there, but as to which one, I have no idea.

First Dickey, then Pell;
Gator football, gone to Hell. With Mullen they're sullen, and of Meyer they'd soon tire. Maybe a job for Coach Kerwin Bell? |

I like the thought of Kerwin (The Throwin' Mayoan), but not sure he is ready for the big time. But, that was the knock on Spurrier, too. So, what the heck, bring the boy home. It's not like we've had a ton of luck with the flavor of the month over the past 10 years. It would certainly bring a ton of good will (at least at first).

Who is coaching against FSU? They only need one win to be bowl eligible.

I see FSU making huge trouble for my troubled team.

Both teams need to win to become eligible. Who wants it more? FSU is kind of on the incline with stable coaching, UF...eh...on a decline. But, it's a rivalry, playing for pride and bowl eligible. Both are important factors.
Plus recruiting on the line: ESPN 300 athlete Isaiah Bond decommitted from Florida on Monday, giving the Gators five total decommitments since October 20 and second since Dan Mullen was fired. |

You getting to any games in this west cost tournament? I am surprised by an almost entire basketball team of transfers but it seems to working very well.
