Did a bicycle recon of a huge 5 level and completely empty cruse ship parking garage, and came back quick as I could with my 36" Sector 9 Mundaka. The air show had port security's attention at the time. Got 3 passes in before being busted in a friendly kind of way. Without a doubt, it was the most fun I've ever had with my closes on. The only thing that could have made it better was to have the elevators working

I remember doing stuff like that as a kid in St. Pete. We'd skate what used to be the Maas Brothers parking garage, and when they were building extensions to 275 into downtown we'd go skate those when no one was working on those ramps. good times. |

Maas Brothers parking garage
Yep, we did the same in Lakeland back in the early 80's. We would catamaran at warp ten and end up with some hellacious road rashes and hip bruises from hitting curbs. We never once got run out by the police or security. Different times for sure. ------------------------- I was right. Edited: 04/20/2021 at 11:50 AM by Cole |

We never once got run out by the police or security. Different times for sure. I'm sure we've had to have met before...lol When I lived in Lakeland we'd ride our bikes all over Florida Southern. We had a loop we'd hit before security would try to catch us; first on golf carts then they got them some generic ass mountain bikes to try and get us. We'd launch off the roof where beaver hill is at, it was the perfect landing ramp. One time a guard was on the roof waiting for us and he ate sh!t on one of the elevation changes going ass over teakettle. I felt so bad I stopped to make sure he got up before table-topping off the final drop and disappearing around the Lake. Good times. ------------------------- Specializing in sarcasm and condescending rhetoric since 1971. |

Beaver Hill, that's a name I haven't heard in years. lol
There is a wedge wall in the commons that we never got a shot at, those damn guards were on us before we even got started. ------------------------- I was right. |

You guys ever hit the wall at Burdines in Orlando (Fashion Square Mall) before they blocked it with stupid planters?
It was good fun, but never long before security ran you off. |

that looks fun! There's a little skate park by the executive airport. I haven't checked it out, but it looks fun from a distance.
My buddy got an e-foil. That thing is a EFFFFFING blast. ------------------------- Specializing in sarcasm and condescending rhetoric since 1971. |

One run and that was it. Yep, security got very proactive in later days, just seeing you approach the store with a board under foot triggered them.. Still managed to always get one hit in - because they couldn't catch us. ------------------------- Worst thing I ever read - "No tropical cyclones at this time" |

I keep my gear all the time in my car. When I used to have long commutes and travelled around FL for work, I would see a nice setup and stop to skate around for a good 30 minutes.
People are everywhere now. Easier to find some spots by doing internet recon first via Google maps. But every once in a random while you'll find a gem Edited: 05/06/2021 at 05:52 AM by seaspray |

Currently in the midst of a heated battle in my golf league for the top spot, so any spare time Mrs. worksux doesn't monopolize is spent on the range..... ------------------------- Specializing in sarcasm and condescending rhetoric since 1971. |
