That article repeated cited contaminated drinking water. PAFB drinks the same water that Cocoa, Merrit Island, Cocoa Beach and Canaveral drink. Shallow wells / sprinkler wells near PAFB are a source for sure. Does anyone in that area drink well water rather than city water?

I grew up in that neighborhood (2 streets south of Pineda on NE 2ndSt, late 50s to early 70s) and we drank nothing but well water when we were out playing. There was a deep well between every fourth house that was shared by the two houses and we just turned on the hose all summer long. Played in it all summer long and drank it all year long. I know of the studies, I know of the illnesses (and I sympathize greatly), but, the evidence, so far, is anecdotal. I am not minimizing the pain of those afflicted and their families, but, their testimonies should not be mistaken for expertise.

Cocoa City water is drawn from deep wells, generally north-west of the city's center (the main processing plant is out off of 520 in the West.

And, to add to Garcia's comments, , , , the well at our house was a 300 foot true-artesian that was fresh, clean, and flowed under its own pressure. No contaminates, that is unless there were those "things" coming down from Georgia and the Carolinas.
