More than four years. That is some war. I hate if when one of the tribe are sick, much less fighting a losing battle that tests you from all directions. I just want to say thanks for your occasional opposing views and your educated responses. Where you are headed on this final journey, I have no idea, but it will be better than the current hell you are living through.

Peace.

Pancreatic cancers seem to move fast. Congratulations on holding it off, for a bit. I am missing a neighbor who died of an odd cancer that had seemed to be stopped, only to come roaring back,

I had a "nothing's happening" regular visit with the internist today. I'm old enough not to take that for granted, Going to see Thornton Wildier's 1930s play, "Our Town" at Surfside Playhouse was a further reminder of mortality.

From Facebook, Rest In Peace Mark.

Hey all,

This is Mark's family. We regret to inform you guys that mark has passed away peacefully in his sleep early this morning. He was surrounded by his family and was extremely grateful to everyone who gave their best wishes and were able to stop by. He kept his sense of humor to the very end and it seemed like his only goal was to bring smiles to everyones faces. Dad was truly a light to this world and will continue to be that light to everyones lives he touched. It's my belief that he was too good for this world so God wanted him all to himself. He was the strongest man I've ever known and I'm thankful that he no longer has to endure the pain that is pancreatic cancer. He's now free to surf, skate, and read all the farside cartoons his heart desires. In this thread feel free to upload any pictures or share any stories you have. We will be having a funeral and a sunset beach service in the coming weeks and will keep you all posted on the exact dates and times.
Thank you all.

Love,
Mark's family

I'm just discovering this post.
Sincere condolences to CurtisEflush's family.
The fact that he took time to say goodby on a silly surfing website says a lot about him.
He was always part of the 2nd light family and had a surfer's soul.

6 foot and glassy waves to you, brother.
