Looked nice until he screwed that guy at 00:58 by stealing HIS wave. What an asshole. See it a lot lately from these guys on foils.

Thats the longest I have ever seen anyone surf continuously.

"Catch 'em if you can"? Really? No rules or courtesy? When I was a kid, that would get a stern warning and, if you did it again, a real threat of an ass whipping. We had rules and had better obey them. Another reason things were better then. Too many spoiled, self-centered a-holes in too many facets of life today.

I had a sweeper tell me he just goes! Like what? Now there are bad ass SUP's that can surf but some etiquette by the newbs like the rest of us is needed.

Isn't the rule the first one to their feet? Those guys on the inside shouldn't even have paddled for his wave.

Just stirring the pot. I'm not going to call someone an asshole for catching a wave better than I do. Is it surfing interference? I don't know, I don't make the rules. Where is the enforcer GP? btw, Geary Paul is nominated for East Coast Hall of Fame. Saw that on fb.

Watch it again, he finishes his wave, goes over the top and goes back and steals theirs. Shitty move. These guys on foils think every wave is theirs. They ride a wave, fire back out, and steal the next one. A pox on them all.

check it out at 00:47 thru about 1:01. Finishes his wave, goes over the top, right back to the next wave that a guy is paddling for. Asshole.

BTW - it is not (and has never been) "first to the feet"

From 10 rules of surfing etiquette -

Surfing Etiquette Rule #1: Right of Way
The surfer closest to the peak of the wave is the surfer with priority and has the right of way. This means if you're paddling for a right, and a surfer on your left is also paddling for it, you must yield to him or her.

Surf Etiquette Rule #2: Don't Drop In
This is related to Rule #1. This is probably the most important golden rule of surfing etiquette. Dropping in on another surfer means that someone with the right of way is either about to take off on a wave or is already riding a wave, and you also take off on the same wave in front of them.

He never got in the way of the longboarder that couldn't catch the wave anyways. If longboarder had caught it, he wouldn't have even noticed the foil boarder, he was long gone. Unreal conditions for a foil. Surfboards, not so much.

Side note, its about time GP got the recognition he deserves.

Unless you were already on the peak and someone paddles out after to your left and a right shows up. For some reason some surfers don't understand that one.

Agree nobody wants a foil roaming in and out of the line up. If those were good surfers just a thought he would of been told to go somewhere else and have fun. All good, there is plenty of room for all.

Beautiful little bay; wasn't breaking anything like that when I was there! Nice vid -- definitely shows the potential of foils.
