It was not small but you needed a log. I did get a couple and one really good long one. Around sunset to our south, you could what looked initially like a swirling Dr Stange portal and then it tracked into the east and blew up like a firework. The sky was so clear and visibility was so good that viewing it was perfect from the beach.
