I remember surfing behind Taco City before the surf leash was invented. I lost my board and had to swim in, the fog was so thick that I swam right up on the shore giving myself a skinned nose and lip! The wave were good that day too.

It's spooky when you can't see the beach. I got "lost" in CA (Jalamas?) one time because when I went to come in to the beach, there were only big ugly rocks. I had to paddle a bit to find my way in.

Now that's some fog!

I recall a larger day and the blanket was so thick that there was no way to tell when you were on the outside. You either got crushed or you sat in the open ocean and swayed from the swells as they passed under you.
