Anyone know what has happened to the Patrick wind link? All I get is the server can't be found?
Also has anyone seen signs of the worm rock coming back in the Mid-Reach area? I saw a photo that showed what looked to be some growth on the coquina shelf but have not been to the beach at low tide to check it out myself.

The Patrick link went down a couple days ago. No idea why.

Looks like the station is still reporting. Just the old link went away.

Yup. I had to dig for it. I live and breath on that Patrick Wx Station. 2 miles from my house as the bird flies.

go to https://nowcoast.noaa.gov/
This is your gateway to weather condition and forecast products for any area of your choice along with the overall satellite images and radar in layers you can turn on/off using the button in the right layer window use the +/- control to zoom into any area of interest left mouse click on the exact area of interest, like PAFB, sorry PSFB. A little dot is dropped A window pops up to the upper right for that location selected, choose "point forecasts" from the buttons at the top of that box A quick forecast comes up in that box, look at the bottom and select "view on NWS website" this gets you to that same weather condition/forecast page. If you select an area offshore and follow the same steps, it will take you to a sea condition format of that same condition/forecast format that includes wave height and period forecast. the graph titled "hourly weather forecast" towards the bottom right is super helpful. Click the graph to expand. There is a lot more weather products linked to this site, just start clicking to learn more about all the other things available I like the "zone forecast" selection when clicking in an offshore area to get a larger overall forecast, but one strange thing that pops up is the zone "coastal & great lakes waters" that is kind of weird when you select offshore Brevard county. never fear, just select "view forecast" for that area and the correct zone forecast page pops up. |
