I would like to take my wife on a small wave trip for me to surf and her to relax. I just want to enjoy some casual surf and good food and nice stay. I've been to Chancletas (not small surf out front) and done all angles of Puerto Rico.

Does anyone have suggestions that aren't on the other side of the world?

Thank you in advance.

Costa Rica is the obvious recommendation.

Santa teresa in the winter is small and clean. Fun. Look at Malpaissurfcam for what it looks like on a daily basis.

Nosara CR breaks pretty soft.
Not a lot of throw-out tubes.
Got married there in 07.
