What do Castles, Kaisers and other rollers look like at that size?

In May of 1917 Duke Kahanamoku rode a 30 foot wave from Steamer Lane (The Freighter shipping lanes way way Outside of Castles ) all the way to Canoes , a distance of over 1.5 miles ! ( Google : Duke Kahanamoku longest ride )

Very cool, it would be a blast to ride an actual wave again, though 20 feet is a bit much for my age.

The Newport Wedge is expecting significant swell Monday-Thursday. Surfline seems optimistic about 12'. Surf-Forecast estimates energy up to about 970. They have Point Panic at 1000 now, fading late Sun.

Video at rice bowl is...not encouraged. Actually da kine 20ft hawaiian....where I'd go. You can walk there from outrigger club
China walls has some good footage. But on a big enough south, right direction, it stays open all the way through.
Bring your reef sox and pidgin accent tho

Maalaea has to be one of the best waves in the world when it gets a swell like that!

Wow!

I've ridden Kaisers at "head high", it was challenging enough for me at Low tide.

DEEP barrels! I actually said "Come on, make it," on Kai's first wave.
