It just seems harder this time of year.

We usually get a little bump in these Indian Summer spells, but not this time.

cash in those gift cards for a surf trip , deals are the best in February for airfare . Christmas bill shock from January credit bill statement means it's a buyers market

January looks like a mess due to covid. Sick workers (not necessarily airline employees) seem to be driving a lot of flight cancellations. The infections may peak around the end of January. Overall, Feb. is looking great for air fares to almost anywhere. March onward keeps getting steeper.

From James Weiland, a glimmer of hope: " Next system not until around the 4th. Models have been showing various solutions for a while now, anything from refraction to groundswell to windchop. At least they are showing something building in though, around the 3rd or 4th. How long it lasts up in the air too."

Looks like the eastern Caribbean may be getting very reasonable long period stuff in the near future - from multiple far off swell sources..... Def worth the plane ride type stuff - and it may be emptier than usual.. Make sure it's open for business.. Some places that were literally on lock down as far as beach access goes opened up not long ago - but Omi may change that..

Also saw a forecast not to far off with a couple interesting significant lows looking like they were attempting to merge - Hopefully we will be in the 'great circle' window..

Yes, does look like some surf next week. Also, check stormsurf virtual buoy for the 14th. Long way away so that will probably get cut down in size, but showing 14 foot at this date.

Well it wasn't exactly 6ft and glassy today (more like 6" and glassy), but I just had a major log session at low tide today {Thurs), (a repeat of Tues and Wed btw), so check out your local sand bar, you might be in for a surprise. Yes I too was shocked to see it actually breaking, just happened to be out for a low tide beach walk with the Mrs on Monday, and immediately made plans for Tues, was not disappointed at all; prob the most fun I've had on micro swell waves in a long time. And the water was skin it warm too, pinch me.

Rinse and repeat, again, good grief if this keeps up I won't be able to go back to work on Monday. Smaller and more spaced out *sets* but they still pushed a Model T, at low tide, for about 2 hrs. All in all a good way to end the year.

Stormsurf virtual buoy lowered the 14th prediction now. 7 foot down from 14. Figured that was a fluke. Looks like potential for some surf this week and next. Knock on wood.

Tomorrow looks like the day, offshores and some decent size.
