Very valid point , he ALREADY has had a long history of Surf injuries . Sometimes it seems he spends just as much time on the mend as in the water.

There can only be one GOAT and his name is Robert Kelly Slater. Just as Jordan will always be the goat of basketball. no matter how good guys like Lebron, Kobe, etc... are, Kelly will always be surfings GOAT.

Aerials will shorten everyone's career. Mick was able to reel off 3 championships, Ke11y could do them well enough, JJF will have to out boost the Brazilians at the expense of his knees.

Kareem's skyhook was undefensible. Jordan had the jump shot, spin moves like Barry Sanders, an incredible defender, and that IT factor with game on the line.

But, Kareem is the all time scoring leader.

Maybe it's a tie.

Kareem also all defense many times, MVPs, and such, several NCAA championships. I think he gets overlooked because he did the Lee Alcindor to Kareem (like Clay to Ali) thing and he's outspoken politically. Check what happened to Kaep. Jordan fits the mold, gambler, doesn't rock the boat , non threatening politically.
