( Only to be picked up by Kechele a scant 18 months later ----- and I do believe Ed might still have that particular board some where in his collection . ) Surf history in the making ...... to say the least !

I love the way those old boards were shaped. They were thicker and shorter. You can see slater's style even then. He makes the board a part of his body.

It was either the winter of '86 or '87 that I saw him out at Rocky point , he fit in well with that fun little break. First peak was a great place to sharpen your craft . Breaks my heart to see it now

It was in the shop for several years and they might have it stashed away at the factory. It's a Richard Munson shape. ------------------------- I was right. |
