I liked it. It was really well put together and we will probably see it up for a few awards.

Incredible they knew to document video of the behind scenes for 15 years . Then Covid and the abrupt ending ..... hopefully there is a f/u : miss the video Of the English dude , no 100 foot wave ... seemed abrupt end but great overall!

One of the things I noticed was that he and his wife were inseparable and she said "how many big wave surfers do you know that travel with their family?" Then in the last episode, no family. He's in Nazare with a broken foot wondering if he's going to go anyway and she's in Hawaii with the kids.

Don't know if would necessarily read into the family situation as the series ends as Covid is prevalent and throwing everything off. Hard to tell , but it did seem odd to end it after detailed early episodes ; seemed it could have gone on few more episodes if financing and family were there. Or maybe he got tired ; I guess spent over a decade chasing that place ....

It didn't feel like an ending as much as it just stopped.
