I would buy his ticket on Spirit and put a mic on him. JetBlue? Child's play.

Oh and, just to make it all better, , , , ,

Getting a handle on carry-ons.

For more certainty and speed (and less stress) during the boarding process, our new carry-on bag policy starting 7/20/21 guarantees overhead bin space on domestic flights within the U.S. when traveling on a Blue, Blue Extra and Mint fare, or who book an Even More Space seat (on all legs, if connecting) - or you get a $25 Travel Bank credit valid for 12 months. That's right - no more guessing if there will be room for your bag on board, no matter when you board.

To make that happen, Blue Basic fares booked on or after 2/25/21 for travel 7/20/21 or later will still include a personal item that fits under the seat in front of you, but carry-on bags (that go in the overhead bin) will not be allowed.

Mosaic members, travelers to/from London (including connecting flights), travelers combining a Blue Basic fare with an Even MoreĀ® Space seat (on all legs, if connecting), active U.S. military and unaccompanied minors may still bring a carry-on bag.

PLEASE NOTE: that if you are Blue Basic and you show up with a carry-on, it will have to be "checked" with a $65 Fee !!!!!!!!!!!

Carry-ons are becoming a plague. Passengers are not abiding by size limits, airlines are reluctant to enforce those limits, and instead sell early seating opportunities so the lucky or loyal can be sure of getting their bag(s) aboard.
The stuffed carry-on bins can take effort to unload, bringing down the heavy containers can be difficult, and loading and unloading them is costing the airlines valuable time. I expect Southwest will do something to revise its policies fairly soon, beyond charging extra for boarding in the A lane.

has anyone flown jetblue recently? Flying to central america in a few days and am hoping my "smuggler" bag does its job and keeps the employees at the counter from snooping around and trying to charge me per board when my second board literally weighs a whopping 5 lbs

I went in April. They called it flat. We would not call it flat but there were some long lulls between sets, sometimes 25 minutes. Then a head high clean wave would come and no one but us gringos bothered with it.

Thanks Johnnyboy . I'm going to plan a trip mid Feb Near K59 / 61 area. Leaning towards flying American, just don't want to be packed in and treated poorly to save money. See how covid fits in , all plans are fluid
