I will certainly do that just as soon as I can figure out how to send one. I went to Private Messages and typed in your name and hit Send thinking it would taking me to a message board. Nope. So, if you can give me a clue, I will jump on it. That said, I am in Maine until July 17 with spotty service, so, it may take me a day or two. And, thanks again!

Sounds like some fellow Rick Griffin collectors on here.. Have quite a few of his 60's+ stuff. Concert, surf + misc related - posters, flyers etc. IMO the best of the SF 5 artists.

Very interesting , as I have a rather LARGE collection as well, spanning his entire carer . I started collecting in Jr. High and have well over 500 peices , about a Third of which I have managed to frame so far . I kind of turned my house in to a Griffin Museum . I have lots of duplicates and triplicates of some pretty rare items . We need to get togather at some point and talk shop ! Do you have ANY Original art ?

Have quite a bit also, but more concert related stuff. Won't even hazard a guess as to how many.. Only a few framed (no wall room left). Also have lots of other similar SF5+ artist stuff (Mouse, Moscoso, Wilson, Kelley++). Keep most in flat 28x40 drawers. No Griffin 'original' artwork. Have seen (touched) the original BG105 printing plates. Know guy who has "Sixties Posters" (lives in Lakeland).. Talk about a 'collection' - real rare stuff.. all in flat drawers) & great condition. Most of my stuff is in 'Art of Rock' book or similar. Have a few original Bill Ogden hand sketches (he did 'Forgotten Island of Santosha' poster)... Out of State for now.. Be back in Mel Bch later this month.

WOW!! Just got the second package - two Pacific Vibrations, one Five Summer Stories, one Grateful Dead/It's a Beautiful Day concert, one Tales From the Tube. Yesterday, I got two GD's, and a few others. All beautifully framed (as advertised). Thank you, thank you, thank you, Mr. Strummer!

Christmas in July ! Please keep in mind that , as reproductions , they have no actual value, other then as " Decorative Art " . The larger repros framed up surprisingly nice , as the colors just pop (esp . for repros ). At some point , I will get you up here to see the Original versions in much, much larger format ! I have a lot of more odds and ends ( Esp Dead material and vintage Surfer magazines ) to send you , as soon as I get to the other side of my garage ? Glad you are stoked !

JS, misunderstood you. Thought you were talking about india ink type work etc. Most of my collection (95+%) are 'authorised printings' as opposed to 'copies'/personal printings/bootlegs. Have a few bootlegs (most 40+ years old) of rare stuff I can't afford or practically 'unavailable' (e.g. mint BG105-RP2).. Have an original Monterey Pop in far from mint - but def the real thing - lamp post style street credence.

You did not misunderstand , all my stuff is legitimate mostly first printings , a fair amount personally Signed as well , I have a Signed Second printing of BG 105 , as well as Signed first runs of BG 140 and 141 ,and a ultra rare Signed Aoxomoxoa (Got it from the guy that ran Relix magazine and Dead merchandising , he currently lives right over in Orlando . ) Managed to score a good size amount of Original art in 1994 - 95 , when Ida was selling off a lot of material , and I had deeper pockets , mostly Murphy and Surf Toons , but some Dead and Christian era items. Unfortunately now the market for Original art is way out of my realm . (PS : I was just merely turning on Garcia ,to some decorative repros freebies that I had lying around .)

Sounds like you have quite the mother lode of Griffin stuff - would like to see it. I have a few RG+ others signed pieces but only started my serious collecting more late 90's - slowed down over the last few years. Lost .. Have quite a few firsts also .., BG105, 140 & 141 seconds - not signed though.... Have most (-2) of the Neon Rose/Moscoso series incl the 2 Griffin overprints.. Also a FD26 RP-3 G Dead Mouse 'Skeleton & roses' (matted)..

That is why , as I said in a previous post , we need to get together and talk shop at some point . ( The overprints are uniquely cool , but as personal choice , I always passed on any overprint or printers error , as rare as they are , ---- as you undoubtedly know , most of them went straight to the trash bin ! ---- I just never found them personally ascetically pleasing to my eye )
