If Florence is unable to compete at the Olympics, his place would be taken by the next eligible American surfer, 11-time world champion Kelly Slater.

I swear John John was put on this earth to punish Kelly for all of his past sins when he was John John's age. John John will not give this to Kelly unless he has to.
