This guy isn't the most frequent video poster but he seems to be getting more interested/skilled and he's identified a bunch of surfers and bodyboarders. More involved in the scene rather than recording rides. A similar swell might develop sometime Friday-Monday.
Bonus: winter lousy weather, good waves, happy bodyboarders, very good video by Cris Levi. Cornwall. Looks like some tough older guys out there.

One guy made it and out at 8:50. Other than that, the crowd just watched in awe as many boards came in in pieces. The boards were even broken in the middle. They were broken further up from the extreme power.

Looks like there's indeed more coming Friday-Saturday, including idiocy.

Got off to a good start Friday, doesn't seem as good today (bigger but too much wind). Almost an hour of raw Brent Weldon. Brad Domke was performing.
Sponger bonked on head by his own swim fin. Vimeo, about 5:30 to 6:00

First quality edit from Brad Jacobsen with his à la Bruce Brown narration. I don't know how much footage he distilled down for this presentation, which concentrates on waves being ridden (or riders being squished). Lots of afternoon with excellent light. One guy skinning it. (11:44).
For a certain kind of editing, this is a great example. It helps that the shooting is also very high quality, at evident risk to camera(s). Looks like one got ruined.

Jacobson may have produced a training video for Wedge novices on dealing with thick, heavy closeouts. Maybe revised narration?

I'm impressed by Jacobson's gathering of a huge number of quality clips, then editing them, no doubt ruthlessly.
.
Now, Brent Weldon posted a beautifully edited video of his own, complete with some water shots and borrowed drone--very different to Jacobson's keep-it-simple approach. He got a new camera fairly recently.

There's no water under them, they're right on the beach.

I'm surprised there aren't more serious injuries.

Irritating editing but good raw video. Only 60 views?
Lousy conditions, not exactly surfable, but bodyboarders at least were putting on a good show. Brent Weldon again with his new Sony.
