SlimyBritches Posts: 6471 Joined Forum: 01/08/2016	THEY have been trying to save the Outer Banks of NC for 30+ years. If you've ever been to Hatteras in the 80's, you'd see a vast difference. Back then, there was a several hundred yard walk to the water. THEY had to move the lighthouse to a different location. The bridge from Kill Devil Hills to Pea Island was almost a pier for a while. I surfed with a guy who inspects the pylons, and he said several were free swinging. NC hiway department's action was to close the lane on that side of the bridge.
