Less wind, about as much swell. Where should I lug the camera? (pms from the shy are welcome)

This afternoon, South Beach. Closeout at the lifeguard station as usual, slightly less noxious north and south. Drift still north to south, pretty vigorous. Not much in the way of photos.

And since there wasn't much better to do, I tried to video a rip current. Might have worked if I had a Soloshot and used myself as a floater, maybe with a Publix surf mat?

I've been surfing everyday at a spot just to your North, many were out on Sunday only a few during the weekdays, real fun drops, a few turns, lots of face plants...Trying to juggle work/surf today and still make the high tide....would be cool to meet you I owe you a Thanks for the boardshorts! Flow you some $ or buy you a lunch from the Deli...you will recognize me from your OK board shorts (the orange/grey ones).

Just tried to get a few early ones before work up here..... plenty of swell, but also plenty of chop/bump.... not all that good. We'll see what happens as the day progresses. Why is it so small down there, Vero?

South Beach has small disease (but crunchy shore break), except on very rare occasions. So does much of the rest of the county.

You found a ridable wave. Spanish House was a place of endless paddling.

Hurricane whatever. My mind must have been on a North Carolina politician, later president of Duke, Terry Sanford. Nice man, even if he was president of the "wrong" university. That wasn't my best bit of video, but it did have that modest rip, which added to the mess. I've been having bad foot problems, so haven't been swimming, so didn't do what ought to have been an equally useless swim. Today, seeing less surf, as much wind.

Paddling marathon at Spanish House on Wednesday. It's deliberately too long as a bit of appreciation for simply being in the water to see if you can finally manage to ride a wave, or barring that, get a good workout.
