Surf pre low tide today was pretty fun with low crowd. Long wait between sets. 3-5 feet. Glassy with offshore winds. Got crowded around 230ish. School must have let out.

yeah what a nice surprise, clean glassy surf after work on a Friday, pinch me! Crowd factor varied by location, but the usual spots looked packed indeed.

Rc's was twice as good as anywhere else and it was obvious. We scored a few long ones at the real RC's until the crowd got tired of us being alone.

There was a time when the famed break was a more elite spot. Those days are dead; foam tops, beginners on logs, multiple drop-ins and people going right on a walled up left. At least Randy still has his spot out front.

I was right.
