Still some surf. The base looked the best with a chunky mid break. RC's looked pretty disorganized. Smallish in Cocoa Beach.

I had intentions to fish early, but was a lil lazy (and didnt want to deal with all the morons on the ICW today) so I took the 5-7 fish out instead..... surprisingly some fun small leftovers (for the right equipment)

I think God is imposing social distancing on our state with this rain on this particular weekend.

the 10 sec swell hit the Bermuda buoy and NE Bahama buoy today , it will probably get mixed into tomorrows wind swell once the NE winds start to blow. Time will tell

Was fishing. Plenty of ground sell rolling in from offshore, somewhere had to be fun.

Me too. Sometimes I wonder if some of our 'shark bites' around bait pods are just macks or blues.

My buddy has recently discovered a fly rod and now is having near religious experiences catching mackerel on his fly rod.

I bet that is fun. I use an ultralight when I go after them from the beach myself. Gives me cast distance to reach them and a fun fight when they hammer the spoon or jig. Every once in a while a tarpon will grab hold too and give a couple of jumps before I open the bail and so they throw it. Seems to work for the most part, only lost a spool once/twice in all my years that way.

Funny. I was catching them on bread balls and using them at the spillway last week. Nothing to show for it though.

Paddle Out for George Floyd today, 130pm Hightower Beach

"I remember South Africa in the late 70's, sleeping on the beach at J-bay, smoking ganja with the blacks. On weekends we'd go to the pub in East London to drink beer and fight with the Afrikaners. They liked to fight, I liked to fight. It was a good time"
