So in a global pandemic we protest, rant rave, say F*^K the police. But in our everyday lives we do nothing to protect our surf spots and so called right to surf. If we did Surfrider would be 100 times more powerful. But we don't. This guy lives in an area that gets Black Balled everyday in the summer. They close beaches due to pollution, they close the beach at times for public safety, but you don't see the same outrage. No we will wait for a pandemic where my actions can kill my neighbor and then rant about my surf rights being violated. Save it Stay home

Use your head. Go surf. Perhaps rational thought will begin here.

I surfed an area that had regulations that prohibited surfing between 10 to 5 from Memorial to Labor day. They'd send out choppers first and announce over loud speaker what time it was. I'd act like I didn't hear. Most of the time they'd just send out boats. Once, the heli driver kept repeating his warning while dropping altitude. The longer I ignored him the lower he got until he was churning the seas around me. Still didn't go in until the boats came.

It's just unbelievable, and obvious to ALL, people like you are the problem daner. How can you not understand what and how this thing is manifesting, and the reason for closures'? It's presently arguable that it is spread randomly in the littoral zone so, 'rational thought' leads directly to; the majority reason they shut down surfing there (SD Co.) and elsewhere around the globe, because early on, the large population areas surfing communities while engaged in the activity, would not adhere to and practice social distancing, causing the continued unabated spread of the virus throughout other parts of society. People would get together, transit to and from surf spots in groups, surf in groups, gather on the sand in groups. You saw that from Volusia down through northern Brevard Co. a couple weeks ago too. It was monitored here in your backyard of So. Brevard Co. recently as most down here noted with Sheriff's gatoring up and down the beaches, flyovers the past few weeks of our stretch of coastline, noting folks have done a good job unlike those mentioned above of adhering to these protections in the water, and on the beach. Society just could no longer trust other surfing communities to help control the spread. Now by banning the activity it eliminates that risk. That's 'rational thought'. Use your head daner. 'You', are the problem. If you do not adhere to these laws for the time being we need them, 'you' will pay the price pal, in spades, guaranteed. Since you have exercised your right to free speech, please let us know if you 1), practice social distancing, and 2), do you mask up in public? We await your response.

btw- that dude in the video is simply a selfish ignorant who can't see the big picture for his one track thinking. IE: How can you blame and bad mouth the ''Police"??! They are just doing their jobs, if you have a problem with an issue like this, you don't shoot the messenger, take it to the source, take it to the law makers And, the medical community. Moron

I get the wetsuit, just in case somebody says "Ah, I get it now, it's OK, you can go surf", but what's up with the hat?
