Interesting trend someone picked up on...Offshore buoys are rising and dropping as a result of something going on deep at the bottom, never seem this before..

Wouldn't a more accurate description be that "the water column height is changing due to apparent sea floor changes and it is being detected by offshore buoys" ?

Offshore buoys are... I see only one station showing drastic changes in water column height.
I'd say station 41425 malfunctioned. Other stations equipped for tsunami monitoring are showing deviations on the order of 10 centimeters or less.
If the bottom of the ocean rose and fell 20 meters out at station 41425 then we'd probably be washed away.
