I'm not sure if the Republican establishment realizes it or not, but Trump incited an attempt at insurrection and had poll numbers in the low to mid 30's when he left office.

The expulsion of Cheney for a non threatening female who will loudly endorse the big lie is their character revelation. They don't believe trump won the election. They know it's a lie.
