This ought to be interesting. Nothing works better for spreading disease than bringing in people from all over, having them in close quarters for a few days, then sending them home.

By the look of this event, health risk is high. Look at all that diauhbeehtus, obesity and heart disease. Think their CPAP machines will help them breath?

I fixed the spelling for you.

Speaking of diauhbeehtus, did you hear that Wilford Brimley died?

Plus lots of alcohol. SD's (Republican) governor is negligent for allowing the gathering this year.

All they have to do is burn a few buildings to the ground and break some shit and everyone will love them for it.

I'd recommend that those who are still panicking not go. While you are at it, mind your own business. The last thing normal Americans need is for progs to be nipping at our ankles. We have work to do.

Thousands of bikers heading to South Dakota rally to be blocked at tribal land checkpoints.

Thousands of bikers heading to South Dakota's 10-day Sturgis Motorcycle Rally will not be allowed through Cheyenne River Sioux checkpoints, a spokesman for the Native American group said on Saturday.

The decision to prevent access across tribal lands to the annual rally, which could attract as many as 250,000 bikers amid fears it could lead to a massive, regional coronavirus outbreak, comes as part of larger Covid-19 prevention policy. The policy has pitted seven tribes that make up the Great Sioux Nation against federal and state authorities, which both claim the checkpoints are illegal.

Under Cheyenne River tribal guidelines non-residents driving non-commercial out-of-state vehicles are never allowed through the reservation. During the rally, non-commercial vehicles with South Dakota plates are also not allowed through.

My favorite is the Sneeze Blowing Contest. wtf?

Sturgis motorcycle rally attendees lounge in bikinis, pack into bars, and mock mask wearers: 'It's like COVID does not exist here'

https://www.insider.com/sturgi...ndees-pack-bars-2020-8

On Sunday, Pinard said he visited a local bar but left after people there were participating in a "sneeze contest."

"It was to see who can sneeze the furthest out," he said. "People were laughing and applauding. I said what the heck, they think it's fake," Pinard said, referring to COVID-19.

I hear Biketoberfest is probably a no-go in Daytona, probably a smart move for the city.

Funny thing about biker culture though, remember when they were the bad guys? Hollister Riot anyone?

Now bikers are cop lovers since the new enemies are black people and revolutionaries.

A lot of the big clubs were started by ex-military. They have always been patriotic even if they were on the wrong side of the law a lot of the time. It shouldn't surprise anyone that they would oppose outright communists. I don't know that bikers are "cop lovers" but I would imagine that quite a few of them would like to take a crack at the Antifa crowd.

I agree, a lot of bikers are in fact fascists or fascist sympathizers.
Let them breath deep the mist of pestilence.

How would you say bikers are fascists?

If I had to place a bet, I would bet that "fascist" is just a label you probably attach to anyone who doesn't openly hate this country.

There are plenty of people who honestly do hate this country but there are A LOT of people who don't hate this country at all. They are just spineless, neutered, jellyfish types who see so much of this stuff in the news and they assume that the majority hates this country so that's what they will go along with.

You're not familiar with Bike gang culture. Bikers are notoriously and historically white power extremists.

Oh, don't you worry. The left's rallies are popping too.

The World Gaming Championships and Comic-Con will be here before you know it.

Paulie Wrongnuts wrong again.

"Surf Nazis" used the Iron Cross and various other German iconography to irritate people, not because they were actual nazis.

You need to look to your Dotard buddies for that... or perhaps a mirror.

But this just goes to show how little Tpapski knows about surfing. They have a word for guys like him: "KOOK"

"The Sieg Heil gesture (pictured above) translated means "Hail victory!", which in Nazi Germany was a signal of obedience to the party's leader, Adolf Hitler, and of German national pride. To the Californian surfers, the salute signaled their devotion to surfing.

The Surf Nazi brand - at least for the most part - was nothing to do with racism or war. It was a sub-cultures rebellion to the media of the time branding them as "rebels", "beach bums", and "punks" - associating them with drugs, anti-social behaviour, and gangs."

Agreed. The people at The World Gaming Championships and Comic-Con are way less healthy, have near negative levels of Vitamin D in their bodies from being inside all the time, and fail miserably at picking up heavy shit or doing hard work.

That's what he is hoping for. But the en banc happened, is over, and went in Sullivan's favor. No matter the outcome he was an epic failure.

You guys are lying to yourselves by telling yourself that a virus knows what someone's political affiliation is or how smart they are.

No idea why you guys have such a hard-on for this bike rally but couldn't give two shits how many people died from Covid after attending Lollapalooza or after the George Floyd protests.

Sturgis motorcycle rally tied to new coronavirus cases in Nebraska

But attendees seemingly flouted such guidance as images showed them close together without masks or face coverings during the band's set. Social media users criticized Smash Mouth for its involvement in the gathering.

Frontman Steve Harwell told the crowd, "We're all here together tonight. F--- that COVID s---," one video showed.

A representative for the group said the band had no further comment.

They are a demographic that is just asking for it. 45 year-old hard living rooting tooting gun toting harley rider and going to be so happy when he finds himself strapped to an oxygen bottle if he manages to not die after 2 months in the hospital where he felt like he had a 900lb weight on his chest while he hacked up razor blades (heard the colorful description wheezed out yesterday by a former covid hoaxer).

It's a virus, not a bullet. The numbers will show this as a super spreader event. But hey, smash mouth played. Can't miss that.

Yeah, tough guy can't exactly punch a virus in the face to put it in its place. But these guys like to raw dawg nasty prostitutes and by the time they are Trump's age their dicks are rotting off. It is fine when your behavior results in an "own-goal". Go for it. Problem with a virus like this is that you become a walking pollutant. Therefore you need to get regulated just like car emissions get regulated.

Biker dotards are notoriously clueless.

I had to drive around a fat one laying lifeless in an intersection on the hot pavement once. Was wearing a sleeveless T-shirt, no helmet. His bike about 100 feet away. Right in the middle of the intersection, face down on the road, dead as a doornail.

Cop had us just driving around his body.

Was a simple left turn mixup. But on a bike with no helmet, there's no second chance. If the 90 year old Grandma in the Buick across from you decides to turn, your number is up. Not the brightest of bulbs.

Covid won't be kind to these out of shape mathletes and their extended families.

Sad and stupid, but one can't stop a dotard from dotarding.. I mean, we're talkin' SMASHMOUTH

Speaking of Smashed Mouths,

Did I ever mention the motorcycle accident a friend saw in the ER? Guy flew and hit the pavement, no helmet.. landed on his chin, his entire lower jaw instantly removed. He was in the ER with his tongue hanging out like a bolo tie.

Bikes are so cool and manly though..

WATCH OUT FOR MOTORCYCLES!

Bike accidents can be gruesome. Was in the medevac hummer coming back from the range. Must of just missed seeing it happen because we were onsite before any local responders. Not sure exactly how it happened, maybe the guy was whipping through traffic and didn't see the semi pulling out onto the road. My best guess was he was trying to lay his bike down to slide under the trailer and didn't quite make it. His head, still inside the helmet, was in one place and the rest of his body was still with the bike a few hundred feet down the road. The girl that had been on the back was cheese gratered to the bone on her leg and arm. Multiple fractures too, but her arm was basically a spaghetti noodle and had a pretty bad head injury. I obviously didn't remove her helmet given the circumstance, but she had saucer plate pupils in the bright sunshine. Did what I could for her till the locals showed up a few minutes later. Never did find out what happened to her.

Yeah but smash mouth was playing. That's not something a biker would miss even if it meant death on a ventilator while being praised as a freedom loving hero who gave his life to the cause of liberty.

Saw an Outlaw biker go down on 95 near Miami once around midnight. 3 crotch rockets flew by me about 150 at least. about 45 secs later came across biker laid out. Bike destroyed, arm hanging by a thread. Not sure if he made it. My guess is the guys flying by must have clipped him. I helped stop traffic while a healthcare worker had pulled over and blocked the lane. gnarly stuff.

anyway - anyone risking covid to see smashmouth is def a few french fries short of a happy meal.

Tpapski is always wrong.

That's why he's known as Paulie Wrongnuts.

I looked at the US Covid chart the other day and noticed waaaaaay down there at the bottom is where Paulie said "It's Over!" .. Jesus, what a bonehead.

Numbers have pulled back since July highs- mostly due to corporations requiring masks in their stores, restaurants and facilities- no thanks to dotards and their baboon.

and I am torn- I really don't want to see the cases climbing back up for Phase 2, but we know it will. However, it will be funny when Paulie Wrongnuts gets even.. wronger.

I know the score. Nothing of consequence happened as the result of the Sturgis gathering. All that prog handwringing for nothing. It's is a shame, really. Y'all could have used that effort to futilely bash Trump.

Businesses are making people wear them. So, if you want to go into a particular business, you have to. Most of us wouldn't be wearing them otherwise. To answer your question, it makes them coerced. Progs, on the other hand, are wearing them because they are ignorant and terrified. Those silly bastards have been wearing them all along.

People in country stores aren't wearing them.

Trump strong places like Bass Pro Shops aren't wearing them.

And many Red ruled counties aren't wearing them.

So yes, the virus will be here for awhile.

Seems pretty counter productive to me, considering how far the infections have fallen since the general public began taking this seriously.

To date, 185,756 have lost their lives. The first recorded death was on February 29th. The highest estimated death total for the flu in the US, excluding the 1918 pandemic, is 80,000 people. Coronavirus has doubled that number in only six months.

The sad thing is that the people who die may not be the people who were reckless, but rather the people they come in contact with when they go home.

If covid-19 is an existing problem it casts a large shadow over Donald Q's non-existant leadership skills.

Therefore the QOP says it's seriousness is fake news and overstated.

I believe that Trump handled it well. Not perfect, but well. And i am not in a cult of any sort (well, maybe a beer cult). It became apparent fairly early on that nothing was going to stop the wide spread dissemination of this disease. And nothing has. Places that lockdowned the tightest had their problems as well. No philosohy on how to take this on has been spared. So, the answer was to develop a vaccine and therapeutics ASAP. And Trump has done a great job there in that he funded ithat effort massively and quickly and removed layers of red tape.

New York infection rate is about 1% now (or very low).

A national policy like that would have flattened the curve nationwide but Trump wouldn't recommend it back then.

He praised governor's that flaunted these precautions.

Now we play whack-a-mole, SD high, another state low.

I travel to SD where the governor is a denier, go home to a low area and spread it there.

Too late for Donald Q to be a leader.

Too late for Donald Q to be a leader.
It's low now, but more people died in NY than in any other state. I believe that Trump did the right thing by lettling states decide. Many disagree. But, the states with the most cases are those with the most population. That is Ca. Texas, Fl and NY are ranked 1, 2, 3 and 4 in number of cases, which is their rank in population. NY and Ca. had very strict lockdowns, Fl. and Texas did not. What that tells me, at least, is that if you are going to get it, you are going to get it and there ain't a hell of a lot you can do about it unless you totally isolate. Very few people are willing to do that.

Obesity is turning out to be one of the key indicators that a Sturgis Rider will have a particularly bad run-in with covid-19. One study found Sturgis Riders with body mass indexes over 30 are at much greater risk for hospitalization, intensive care and death. Another showed that Sturgis Riders under age 60 are two to three times more likely to be admitted to the hospital for covid-19 if they are obese. "We almost think this is akin to throwing a match on a tinderbox," said Sara Tartof, a Kaiser Permanente research scientist.

Used Harley. Must sell quickly to pay for burial and coffin. Everything related to the motorcycle is for sale and must go except the live to ride, ride to live license, which will be placed in his arms for the viewing. Sturgis shirts can be worn in lieu of mask.

Gee, couldn't happen to a nicer bunch.
Of fat, violent clueless magats.
It would be fun to watch except for: all the innocent people down the line.
The whole leather clad, macho posturing with loud obese, quite frankly dike-ish bitches strikes me as more than slightly gay.
"I wanna be a macho, macho......"
Yuck.

nuke,

Yes, lots of innocent people are going to be pulled down because of this BS!

On the other hand, I don't mean to laugh or taunt, but the Sturgis Riders are getting exactly what they deserve. As I've said before, , , , The Stupid Must Suffer.

Oh and, I used to say that the "dumb" must suffer but, that is perhaps hurtful to some because a lot of people are simply born dumb. "Stupid" is an acquired trait.

Can we establish a few things about Strugis? One, the vast majority were not wearing masks. Two, these freedom loving motorcycle enthusiasts were politically pro trump. Three, they didn't wear masks, they congregated closely and they said that their unmasked, unsocially distanced powwow was their statement that their freedom to Not wear a mask trumped the governments mandate to make them wear a mask.

Do you accept these premises?

Since you are *sooo* concerned...

South Dakota COVID cases increase 456% since Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

On August 4, the state reported 657 active cases. On August 25, the state reported 3,655 active cases. That's a 456% increase of active cases from before the start of the rally to two weeks after, according to the state's department of health. The week before that, July 23-30, the positivity rate was just 6.10%.

Bill Barr can't cover this one up. Each morning just open the paper and count the dead dum-dums.

"Marc Bernier, a conservative Florida radio host who dubbed himself "Mr. Anti-Vax," died after a three-week battle with COVID-19. He was 65.

His death was the third this month among conservative talk show hosts outspoken against the coronavirus vaccine."

Black people have precedent to distrust the government on vaccines, that takes time.

I'm not sure why the "Piled high and deep" folks would take risks like that. What's your source?

I'd be careful drawing conclusions from that data, it seems an assumption is being made that a PhD is "the most educated" even over professional degrees like JD (MD isn't mentioned specifically).

Even then, 3 out of 4 are getting vaccinated.

I'm not trying to dig on anyone here, but I've not found PhD to correlated necessarily with intelligence. Many of my Euro colleagues have PhD's because their educational systems support it for free, while most Americans have to get a paying job and need student loans to seek terminal degrees.

The PHD's involved were something like two percent of those studied. It's a non starter as far as statistics go.

It's also easy to see that Republicans don't venture out very much; Black and Hispanic communities are still masking and social distancing, unlike the unvaxxed Always Trumpers.
