Deputy Director of the FBI is leaving effective today. The Press Sec is fending off the question of: "Was he fired?"

Nails in the coffin on the obstruction charge?

When there is a question mark at the end of a sentence, it means a question is being asked. Feel free to answer the question.

Easy question to answer. Christopher Wray may have fired him but Trump can't fire McCabe.

The vote to decide whether or not the memo gets released happens tonight. Sounds to me like McCabe understands that he already looks bad and is about to look worse, so he might as well get out in front of this thing.

Wray read "the FISA memo" for the first time yesterday.

I think he knows the FBI is under attack and since he was leaving anyway he's trying to take the fall for the team.

Ample basis exists to enact legislation to protect Special Counsel Mueller from political interference. Irrespective of party in power, US strength rests on ability to safeguard rule of law, even at times of deep partisan rancor. Let investigative chips fall where they may.

The Whitehouse, the GOP and their propaganda outlets (Fox, Frickbook, Twitter) are anxiously conspiring to discredit the FBI. That's the horseshit happening here.

They're lobbing grenades at Mueller to protect trump, McCabe might have thrown himself on one.

WASHINGTON - The day after President Donald Trump fired James Comey, he became so furious watching television footage of the ousted FBI director boarding a government-funded plane from Los Angeles back to Washington, D.C. that he called the bureau's acting director, Andrew McCabe, to vent, according to multiple people familiar with the phone call.

Trump demanded to know why Comey was allowed to fly on an FBI plane after he had been fired, these people said. McCabe told the president he hadn't been asked to authorize Comey's flight, but if anyone had asked, he would have approved it, three people familiar with the call recounted to NBC News.

The president was silent for a moment and then turned on McCabe, suggesting he ask his wife how it feels to be a loser - an apparent reference to a failed campaign for state office in Virginia that McCabe's wife made in 2015.

McCabe replied: "OK, sir." Trump then hung up the phone.

Any apologies if it comes out that he was fired? Nah, didn't think so.

Can the next guy fire Mueller?

Yes, Cole. The replacement number 2 guy at the FBI is going to fire a special counsel investigator.

Don't you people have access to Google?

Yep, you are right and I was wrong, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein was the one I was thinking about. Sessions can't do it since he recused himself.

I see you're smoking your usual Uuuuuge bowl of crack!

"White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said during Monday's press briefing that Trump "stands by" his previous criticism of McCabe but was not involved in the departure.
"The president wasn't part of the decision-making process," Sanders said. "

CNN political analyst Carl Bernstein says FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe's departure and a passing vote by the House Intelligence Committee to release a memo alleging FBI misconduct will be remembered as a "Monday Night Slaughter."

Even after Trump loses, he keeps on losing.

LOL.

Of course he did. That was some downright nasty shit to do to a hard working life long public servant that probably put many hours in and most likely some of those many hours in dangerous situations. He was a field office in NY and on the SWAT team FFS. So much for blue lives matter with these guys. They only matter if they serve the fat orange beast.

One of the dirtiest abuses of power I've ever seen in US politics.

Lisa Page deserves some compensation too.
