Bioluminescence is pretty sweet south side of Minuteman Causeway. Moon was up and could still see it. Need to go when it's darker. Saw it up in Cape Canaveral as well. Filling in?

Swam in it last night with a dolphin nearby. Sickness. It stayed on my girlfriend's suit and over an hour later it was still lighting a bit. Crazy stuff.

I'll check it out tonight. New moon on the 7th of August, so it's only going to get better.

Johnnyboy well played and Ouch! A couple reasons... other people on the vessel and she was a little nervous and did not have a suit so undergarments...

Went last night at Kiwanis and it was awesome. You could scoop it up and see it in your hands like some alien potion!?! :-). And the some areas it looked like tiny stars when you looked in the water. No stirring action necessary.

It was really pretty under the crescent moon this morning in Rockledge. Here it is largely driven by Pyrodinium bahamense which has reached harmful bloom levels in recent years which can suck. This year with inconsistent rain it is well balanced without any big bloom and it was pretty magical this morning. With nice semi clear water but lots of bioluminescence so you could see every fish moving below to significant depth with lots of stars and the waining crescent moon above. The schools of bait fish scattering look like fireworks under the board. I jumped something huge under the 520 bridge that made the whole channel light up when it fled the board. We keep these calm clear nights going with the new moon being upon us, get on it. It is pretty awesome. Even with the lights in Cocoa/Rockledge it has been awesome in the middle IRL (Pineda to 528) these last few days.
