Surfing is mixed in on NBC WESH 2 with other sports , but looks to be carried whole on its pay service Peacock . We have the APP at my house , so go to Olympic sports> Surfing > Men's or woman's ( then click it and add to my stuff in side bar) . You can add to My Stuff all three days surfing , and also finals .
They have a ton of Olympics on YouTube TV , but they have all the events on Peacock , so check it out

The forecast for Teahupo'o over the waiting period from July 27-Aug 5 includes days expected to be double over-head height, and good conditions, while the beaches around top French surf zone of Hossegor are likely to have mostly poor or fair conditions with wave heights in the chest to head-high range, according to official forecaster Surfline.com.

Surf looks awesome today. Surfers seem to be really cautious though. Broken board on first wave I saw ridden. Should be really exciting stuff.

Favorite thing today. Medina claims a 10 on barrel exit and judges throw him a 9.9. The anti-claim bump in effect.

John-John didn't surf very well. He's tossed from the olympics. Slater would have won that heat. Oh well.

Women's Surfing Round 3 called OFF for the day
After four plus hours of ideal conditions at Teahupo'o, the wind has started to blow onshore and the rain is coming down sideways, turning the already dangerous surf into something markedly worse and wholly uncontestable. As a result, Round #3 of Women's Surfing has been called off for the day before it got a chance to start.

Officials will make a call tomorrow morning at 6:15 Tahiti time as to when the comp will resume.

Caroline Marks vs China Yang Siqi. in round 3 Heat 1. Check back Tuesday around 1pm.

Rant

So the men are all out in round three of the surfing division of the Olympics. It should have been Kelly in for the USA all day long. The WSL really screwed up when they over scored Yago Dora at last year's Chopes contest, knocking Kelly out of Olympic contention once again by just one heat. During the inaugural qualification for the surfing division of the Olympics five years ago, John John Florence had been out for half the year with an injury, but surfed pipeline at the end of the year and finished one spot ahead of Kelly to get the slot for the Olympics even though he admitted he was nowhere close to 100% for the Olympics. I like John John a lot, but it is almost as if he and the WSL are in collusion to underscore Kelly and get John John in by just one spot at the last Olympics and the current Olympics. The result for team America is that we have not come anywhere close to gold on the men's side the first two times the Olympics has had a surfing division but John John has gotten two chances that were stolen from Kelly. Thank God for the American women surfers!!! Gold, and almost a bronze in the very first Olympics that had surfing and looking really really good for this year's Olympics! Hey WSL!! WAKE UP!!??

Medina's 9.90 was not only the highest score of the day, but the highest score in Olympic competition since the sport made its Olympic debut at the Tokyo Games in 2021.

Surfing: Action called OFF for today
There will be no surfing today in Tahiti either. Action has officially been called off with the colour code of red. We were expecting the women's third round heats to be completed today.

A decision on the colour code tendencies for Thursday will be made at 5:45pm local time (5:45am Paris time on Thursday morning).

Here is what Fernando Aguirre, president of the International Surfing Association, had to say:

"We're hoping the wind on Monday was going to come later, but it came, so we had to stop at the end of the guys' round three. So we still have ladies' round 3, and the quarters, semis, and final.

"What we look at is the data. We have the best forecasters in the world talking to us, and we know when the window ends (on 4 August) so we need to manage depending on the size of the waves."

Teahupo'o had lots of visibility before the Olympics, but I think thiis time, lots of people who didn't take surfing seriously suddenly got enlightened. Tourist boom? According to STAB, Gabriel Medina has added 1.3 Instagram likes. Photographer Jerome "Brouillet's Instagram sits at 155,000" (STAB). He'll get about $400 for that photo.
