OK, since no one else has posted this; we've had two days of decent surf (on a weekend no less) after weeks of the October Onshore Onslaught. Totally serious in case you haven't checked it lately. Arms, shoulders and neck are completely toast. Hit up SatB yesterday, made it out, but got solidly worked on every wave, moved down a lil and much better (location, location, location). MelB today, it's glassy? Am I dreaming this? Bottoms seem pretty chewed up, wave count low considering all the swell in the water, but occasionally this squirrel got a nut. On 1-5 scale: 3.5 stars. Sorry, no pics I was surfing and try to stay out of the limelight.

Greenie blowing the fins on the backhand hacks. Great stuff my man!

I skinned it with no sunscreen figuring that we are only a couple of months away from the winter solstice. Yep, that was a stupid idea. I got a nice crispy burn for the first time in a decade. DOH!

Thanks Cole. Cole was killing it with one left having two text book Cocoa Beach level (does everyone shred in this town?) frontside wraps and an ocean displacing whack at the end. Quiet Flight well represented.

Plan B that's right!

We paddled out at the Light and man was I feeling it. Still some surf but the bottom was pretty funky; reforms from the outside to dumping ledges on the inside.

I was in Daytona Beach trying to force feed my fat round nose fish into jacking head high, knee deep shore break Sunday morning. Been a while since dealing with that situation.

Yep, my air attempts usually end in cannonballs these days. It simply ain't worth it.

During a particularly perfect swell about a year and a half ago, I saw a childhood friend and neighbor who is a professional photographer. He was taking pics of pros and I thought I might get his attention with a big clean air. I hit the lip boosted it perfectly full of Kodak courage. I landed and my legs did a full split on the board making me look painfully absurd. Done. I could barely walk much less surf after that. On a perfect day too. I went over to my buddy and reintroduced myself. I asked him if he saw any of my waves and he said "no I was taking shots of the pros." It seemed like my legs hurt a little more.

Lol. Air? Old guy here. Remember when if you could take off, link a few turns and kick out clean you were a pretty good "surfer"? Air was something discussed in conjunction with a serious hold down. . Edit: pretty fun this pm at the local. Hope you got some.

The board always tries to take me out during barrel attempts too, but then again, I also struggle when trying to bust out the Hopak, so it must have something to do with my artificial hip.
