So far the rain has missed my house. Just a trace of it and nothing to get through the mulch. Maybe tonight! (tuesday)...I'm not ready to break out the Indian Rain Dance yet, but that may be coming if it keeps missing my yard.

Pouring at Pineda Wed. evening. Filling the pool. Hail in Viera earlier. Thumbs up for the cold front/free A/C!

Another heavy downpour this Saturday afternoon! And, yeah for a cool down. Time to get the heavy yard work done this work before the onslaught of summer oppresive heat.

Another rain opportunity Tuesday night.

Highest rain chances will occur Tuesday overnight, with PoPs 80
percent from Melbourne northward, and 70 percent southward. Rain
chances will stay elevated through the time frame however, with PoPs
60-70 percent areawide.

National Weather Service Melbourne FL

.DISCUSSION...

...Strong to Potentially Severe Storms Possible Tonight...

A cut-off mid level low in the southern stream is slowly progressing
eastward across the lower MS Valley. An assocd sfc low is also
tracking east across LA. Strong mid and upper divergence ahead of
this system is supporting deep convection over the Gulf of Mexico
this morning which will track east during the afternoon toward FL.
Increasing cloudiness today as moisture increases in the low levels
and upper levels with mid levels last to moisten. Morning Cape
sounding shows a narrow band of very dry air holding on near 800 mb
but this will gradually erode from above and below. Best chance for
showers will occur across the north with precip falling out of
altocu and marine stratocu along the Space and Treasure coasts.

Tonight...Forcing aloft and assocd deep convection will overspread
ECFL with the primary impact btwn 10pm-4am. A warm front will
develop over south FL this evening and lift northward across central
FL just as this forcing and convective complex reaches us. The
primary threat will be strong, possibly damaging wind gusts in
bowing line segments racing toward the E/NE overnight. And there may
be a tornado or two where low level helicities are maximized near
the warm front. It is possible a Watch will be issued this evening
across much of EC FL.

Looking like we should be getting some (alot) of rain over the weekend.
Last couple weeks when forecast was for rain, when line of storms did show up they all seemed go around my area and then reform the line on the other side.
My yard needs rain.

Don't curse it dangermouse! WE ALL NEED RAIN. I've lost a couple plants due to the recent drought and my croton are all droopy-droopy from drought stroke.

Ok it's only rained once or twice in almost 2 months, ... a first in my 20 years in Brevard, and never happened down in Hollyhood this time of the year...

That Saharan dust is playing mind games with our afternoon thunderstorms.

Turning on the sprinklers and refilling the pool again
