Three species of cycads for sale. Cycads are among the oldest living plants still around today, and pre-date flowering plants. They are most closely related to other gymnosperms, like pine trees and even have cones.

15 gal Encephalartos whitelockii - large green leafed cycad from Uganda. Gets big. Needs full sun to partial shade for best appearance. One available at $125 OBO

7 gal Encephalartos ferox - medium sized dark green holly shaped leaflet plant from Mozambique. Has bright red cones when mature. Can grow in full sun, but prefers partial shade for best appearance. Very easy and reliable grower. One available at $100 OBO

Seedling sized Cycas litoralis - large bright green prehistoric looking plant from Thailand that in habitat grows at the forest edge and the beach. Very salt tolerant and is immune to Asian white scale. Fast grower. can grow in full sun but prefers partial shade for best appearance. Potted seedlings (3-4 leaves) are $10, bare-rooted seedlings are $7, and entire community pots (10-20 seedlings per pot) are $5 per plant.

Adult plants of all species are premises so you can see what they look like when mature.
