Craig unfortunately got in a major car accident a few days ago. Prognosis is not good. On final life support. Wish him well however his family says he wished not to be on life support if anything ever happened. Major legend for Brevard county with being the owner of Spectrum Surf shop. Super Character and interesting guy with a lot of stories. I'm bummed.

Oh no, so sorry to hear this, thoughts and prayers for the family...

Craig used to sponsor so many kids and always made you feel welcome in his shop...doesn't seem normal for Spectrum to not be there anymore. RIP legend!

If I read the FB report correctly, he's not gone yet!

They're going to make the decision next week (10 days from the accident) about continuing or disconnecting life support, depending on progress.

Fight as long as you can, Spectrum Man!

This hurts to hear. I don't believe I ever met Craig. His son Benny always took care of me and made me feel good about my the boards I had shaped. They will be in my quiver forever. Stay strong!

Being a QF guy, Spectrum was the enemy! Those were the days.

As Curtis said, it's not over till it's over. Keep fighting man.

This is very sad news and my thoughts and prayers go out to Craig that he will recover. They created FB page for updates on his recovery...

I said goodbye to my dad just now. He passed at 3:41pm on Sept 10th. We had a beautiful ceremony filled with song, prayer and lots of love. Thank you all for your love, support and prayer throughout this heartbreaking journey. I'm confident He has gone to the other side where we will join him on our on time?. I love you all. -Benny Bobbitt

Ah, that's sad and nice at the same time. Glad you gave him a good send off. Glad you got to say goodbye.

This is sad news. Far too many of the old surfcrew passing. I did some work, mainly rubouts, for Craig when the Spectrum factory was barely 100 yards away from Donny Mulhern's MTB factory. Both of those shops were in what we used to call "the colorful part of town" in Melbourne, along U.S. 1. Mully passed in early May 2021. Now Craig is gone. Two old rivals, perhaps, but definitely members of the same tribe. I wish comfort to Craig's family. God bless. - Joe Roberts, aka JR

Sending positive energy to your family. I spent many visits during my grom days at his surf shop.

Sad indeed.

You can be comforted in the fact that he made a whole bunch of surfers happy.
