Why on earth would anyone put a leash cup on such a beautiful work of art ? ( If you can not swim to the beach when its Triple overhead , then you have no businesses ridding this masterpiece ! )

A mere bag of shells. Sure wish I had the shells.

Matt : Of all those boards, Reno Abellira's Lightning Bolt would be my first choice , then I saw this listed : https://auctions.thevintagesurfauctions.com/lots/view/1-47RKRG/george-greenough-carbon-edgeboard-1982

If I had a billion dollars I wouldn't pay more than fifty bucks for it. I have a similar board, a Carson Cooper V bottom if you wanna come borrow it to try. I am back in cocoa isles again. For $20,000 I would rather buy 50 kids brand new surfboards. This is what the Cooper looks like but mine has color on it

Matt : My Two selections were solely based on their historical significance and NOT on their monetary value . ( PS : Got the photo from Jim , I tried to PM you but the forum went wonky ,will try again later .)

Joe Strummer would even struggle on that one. Those are some serious parallel lines to deal with.

I had the Cooperfish comet from downsouthslidah but it turns out it was not for me. I traded him for a Dewey Weber feather fast back. I just fell in love Cooper's. But some boards like the comet were not meant for Florida, or at least not often.

That's a nice one. I'd rather have a Phil Edwards or especially Mike Eaton's version tho.
Now skip or mikes later double enders: a fourth of the weight, way improved rockers. Same glide but you could actually hotdog them: priceless

My Jim Phillips Hustler is a magic board. I have many boards. A few are just magic. I have never bothered to see if they are magic for everyone and I know one man's magic is another's superstition, but that board rides like a college girlfriend.
