My wife and I would like to take my niece from France out tomorrow evening to experience it.

I heard a few reports about the common areas in MI and even a friend of mine said they saw it a week or so ago from 192 down to Turkey Creek. (Would be nice if it was visible in Grant Valkaria area).

We went Sunday evening CB thousand Islands. It was lighting up. This is the time of year. Needs rain, warmth, and low light. Having the moon rise later in the night helps.

What Dave said. Just a treasure!

One of the best spots in the world.

That's right, the world!

A Day a Way Kayak Tours in Titusville has night time tours at Haul over that we have done . It's very well done and they provide everything but the bug spray .Pro tip : wait in car until they are set up , make sure you have plenty of bug spray on , do the huddle up and get in kayak and paddle out fast. Once you get out there was very little bugs .

Dave- did you bring your own kayaks, or go with a tour service?

I've got access to kayaks, but not sure where to launch from up there, etc

We took her to Kelly Park Merritt Island last night and she loved it. Once you get under bridge and into canal you will see the dinoflagellates do their thing! Coming back she was so into it she got out of the canoe on the flats and splashed around in the schools of mullet! ??

Mosquitoes and gnats were not too bad. I wore pants and long sleeves but should have sprayed my ankles.

I've taken a couple of tours out of banana river park in canaveral, another one tonight.
The dinoflagellate bloom was spectacular, fish exploding everywhere.
Great night launch depending on the wind.Anything south or west fucks it up.
We just got our permit for ramp road, not sure about night launch yet.
Another launch i'm gonna try is the golf course pavilion on west wind

Yes good idea about the wind, consider it if paddling, lower or no wind is nice. Went out last night down in thousand islands area, it was dreamy. If you can get fewer clouds that is also better I think. Low clouds around here reflect the light of the area and for these little dinoflagellates you want it dark. Get up close to the mangroves and the fish run and leave the trails of blue.

I've been working with a day a way so I gotta recommend them, but it's super bright in certain areas right now. Up around Haulover canal is insane, full on neon flash in some spots. The brightest I've ever seen it by far. Merrit island is a lot dimmer but tons of the bioluminescence comb jellies around though. Beacon 42 seems to be the brightest spot. Haven't been to cocoa beach but Kelly Park is pretty dim at the moment.

The pyrodinium in the Rockledge/Cocoa area has been replaced by a massive bloom of something pea soup green and the bio-luminescence has shut down in this area.

Bioluminescense or Satan?

It was thick and glowing in Cocoa Beach, but we have brown algae moving in too. I'll check tonight.
