Those look great Dave. Are they easy to propagate? I had some in Otown, but I left them when we sold the place- the key lime tree, roses and arecas were enough digging for me. Couldn't kill the crown of thorns with full sun and drought conditions, that was for sure.
Rob ------------------------- Hey, my brother, can I borrow your copy of "Hey Soul Classics"? No, my brother, you must buy your own. |

Crown of thorns is very easy to start from cuttings. Too easy actually. It grows in very similar conditions as cacti, yet it can take a lot of water also. Not cold tolerant, but will grow back if damaged. Pretty flowers, needs full sun to flower the best. There are a few different varieties. I'll take a pic of a different hybrid later. Pretty cool looking with fatter limbs and flowers.

I especially like the giant thai crown of thorns. Huge leaves and huge colorful flowers. Great plant! |
