Wahine Linda Posts: 1230 Joined Forum: 08/10/2003	Anyone know if it better to wait to fertilize a gardenia(standard Miami Supreme in a pot) while it is blooming or to wait until it is about finished? Do Gardenias only bloom once a year? Mine is about 4 feet tall and right now growing until filtered sunlight of my majesty palm. Is full sunlight best? HELP!!! ------------------------- My golden retriever surfs too!

Wavewatcher Posts: 7700 Joined Forum: 07/24/2003	The usual gardenias in peoples' yards (like mine) flower just once a year. Mine's in partial shade, but the plants seem happier in full sun. silversurfer Posts: 187 Joined Forum: 10/04/2003	I'm adding coffee grounds to all my gardenias. One actually bloomed all year round. The dwarf varieties seem to be plagued with nematodes and only bloom once. ------------------------- Stuart Rocks
