I have a pretty mature coccothrinax that has been deficient in something for quite a while that I want to address. The fronds are small in size for the maturity of the palm and they barely grow out away from the center when the new ones push out. I can get some pics if helpful, but just on this description is there a common deficiency that causes this? It has been going on for a while....yearish or more....I have just neglected it and would like to try and get it healthy again. thanks for any input....

My last try at a nutrient deficiency was with an Archontophoenix. Nothing quite worked and the tree was eventually cut. For whatever reason, others never had problems, though I have a patch in the front yard where both a palm and a cycad seem to have nutrient problems.... Nematodes? I had a bottle of "palm nutrients" from Busy Bee Nursery in Wabasso. Other than that, a good palm fertilizer with micronutrients.

I made a mess with dropping too much boron. Nearly killed a nice Simpson stopper bush. Try fertilizer or a mult- nutrient supplement first.
