Curious if anyone is growing pomegranante beachside. I have never grown one but interested in getting one but I have no idea if they would do well in our area. Anybody know if they have any salt tolerance? I am about two blocks from the beach but I am sure the well water probably has some salt in it. Thanks ------------------------- - |

I haven't seen any beachside, but I see some doing very well in Titusville...
Maybe try on West Side of your house and keep the sprinkler water off , they need full sun.... ------------------------- Brevard Surf Report |

There is a dwarf variety that probably would be best also.

I have one ~1000 ft off the beach. Likes our relatively dry beachside conditions. Doing fine, but is sheltered from the eastern salt bath. Doesn't seem to have much sensitivity to the salt though. Was a gift from my brother, who picked it up from a yard sale when he was visiting....no idea of the variety, but I believe it was grown from seed.
