Charlene, this is the palm that I was telling you about! Is it Cabbage palm? Don't know how long it's been there but I just noticed it.

Wow, super coo! Yes, Cabbage Palm. It's believed that some sort of injury to the bud causes this. One on my street has two heads.

Cool tree. Terrible hack job by the pruners on all the cabbage palms in that photo.

Agreed. That's a good way to kill palms that are likely 70-80 years old. |
