Does anyone know how to process the acai berries? I have a tree with loads of berries, they just seem like little purple ball bearings.

I'd love to take some off your hands. I've got friends in PR with them, but from what I understand, there is not a lot of fruit on the seed. I get the impression that there are certain conditions that make them more plump and even then, if you only have a few, you might just eat them as a novelty style snack.

They taste horrible, need sugar and other fruit mixed in to be edible.

Got some nice seedlings in 4in round quart pots, that are a foot or so tall. Some single, some doubles, for $4 each if anyone wants to try growing some. (Euterpe oleracea)
