I just bought a new firespike and planted in a spot that gets direct afternoon sun, so its getting probably 6 - 7 hours of direct sun a day. Is this too much for a firespike? I know they can grow in shade, but can they grow in full sun like that?

Thanks

They like water, so water might be an issue more than sun.  Floridata.  They can grow pretty rampantly, so energetic late winter/early spring pruning is a good idea.

Thanks ww. I should probably move it while I can. If it gets too tall where it is, it will probably block my motion sensor light.
