Got a tree thats gotten really big. Has bloomed lightly the past two years but not held fruit. This year it is covered with hundreds of blooms. Anyone familiar with spraying blooms? If so what did you use???

DT, I use Southern Ag. Liquid Copper Fungicide spray the blooms before flowers open and spray again after they form the fruits. Years ago, I talked to the mango grove owner who told me that he sprayed 5 times with Copper Fungicide from flowers till the time he harvested the fruits.

Thanks Lek. Already blooming so I will give it a shot after fruit forms. I'm guessing its ok to spray when the fruits are tiny? Hope you are well, DT

I'm doing well, thank you, DT! Yes, it's O.K. to spray the fruits when they are pea size.

What fungus attacks mango trees?
I've never sprayed mine with anything.

Not the tree but the flowers, it causes the flowers to fall off instead of becoming fruits.

Powdery mildew and Anthracnose are two.

Seems everyone in SFL is talking about having to spray lately. My 15 gallon Sweet Tart is loaded with bb sized fruit, but I am gonna remove them in the next few weeks. My sister's grove in Cape Canaveral is slammed with blooms and small fruit as well. Hope everyone has a good harvest this year.
