With recent rain, the flowers just pop up everywhere. Gardening and photography are my hobbies, so here are some of the pictures I took.
Fruits in the yard are also getting big, some of the mangos should be ready to be picked in the next couple of weeks. Irwin, very good tasting and very colorful mango. 
Rosigold, early mango and very dependable 
Tommy Atkins, these two are in the shade, normally they would be more colorful than this. 
Pim-sean-mun, Thai variety and can be eaten green. 
Kiew-savoie, another Thai variety....green eating mango 
Kent, one of my favorite mangos 
Chok-a-nun, also bears fruits in winter time. 
Went out to hand pollinate these 'Delight' Dragon Fruits one night, they'll be ready in 35 days. 
'Brown Sugar' sapodilla

Thanks, Dave. I got it from the Farmers' Market in Winter Park last Saturday. I really like the nursery there, most plants are one third of what you pay at Wal-Mart or Home Depot. I also got 2 (3-gallon pots) of Agapanthus for $8.00 each.

Good to see the Fiji Island and Chinese Lantern hibiscus are blooming

Brian, the plumeria is dark pink, I have a lot of different colors if you want some cuttings. The rainbow color one, I got it from Aloha Bob. Also thanks for the hibicus....I truly enjoy both of them. I still have 5 pots of Michelia Figo that I can trade for your Tahitian Gardenia. |

Looking wonderful. The last orchid reminds me that in the wild (like live oak hammocks on the barrier island in Indian River County), the native Epidendrum tampensis orchids are flowering. |

I bought that orchid over 10 years ago from Palm Bay Orchid Range and the label said: PB 217 EPC El Hatillo 'pinta' Which I don't pay much attention to what it is. By the way, the Aechmea Maria Regina bromeliad you gave me is doing really well, didn't remember whether you told me shade or sun but to play safe, I planted under the oak tree. Hope to see the flower soon. |

In my yard, Aechmea mariae-reginae needs shade to show off its blue-green/silver leaves. It takes years to flower, so it's best treated as a foliage plant.

Your Cryptanthus bromeliad (next to last set of photos, at the bottom) is like two of mine, but much bigger. Like yours, mine are living happily in pots, one small, the other roomier. They seem to like shade. My Aechmea fasciata plants, exiled from the bed where they were happy, need to be reassembled in a good spot where they will flower again. A Panama rose bush has become crowded, and if I remove it, there will be space for lower plants, including bromeliads and native wild petunia. |

Looks like I have to move my Cryptanthus bromeliad in the shade, I have it in the sun and it burns the tips of the leaves. I bought a single plant at Vero Beach Gardenfest two years ago and it's multiplied over time.
It's probably a good time to move Panama Rose, I don't have any flowers on mine right now........do you? |
