anyone on here have a good source for wood fence materials? im looking to get 7 foot tall wood fence slats, gate hardware, etc..

Hard to get 7 ft slats. I've never seen slats longer than 6 ft. (I've also never heard of a code that allows a fence taller than 6 ft.) I hand picked all mine at Lowe's. Pretty good price and I've only had one slat that warped.

I did the same. You can return warped pickets also if they dry out before you get a chance to hang em. I used McFeelys for my picket and stringer screws and Northern Tool for the gate hardware (dipped galv, much cheaper and better than the "black" stuff at big box stores).

I think Lowe's is what I'll be doing as well.

I checked out 84 lumber today, but they only had 6footers and they were more expensive than lowes.

You could always run a 2x12 along the bottom and then set your fence on top of that. I did that to stop some of the water coming from my neighbor's yard.
