Any idea when the club might announce the list of trees that will be available at the plant sale on April 28?

typically, the Thursday meeting Erik talks about the trees he is bringing and hands out a list of variety.

If you are a member, the member sale is the Friday before the Saturday sale.

We are members. I thought last year (weren't members then) somebody posted the list here about a week or so before?

Won't be able to make the Thursday meeting. Was planning to help with the set-up on Friday, but I won't be able to make that or member pre-sale, or the real sale on Saturday.

Guess the GF is just going to have to get down there on Saturday for me.

Got some trees today, thanks to epicsurf.

Annual Fruit tree sale on Saturday.

Lots of different variety of mango on the list. Eric of Pine Island Nursery was raving about the Coconut Cream Mango among others.

I have the spreadsheet that list the trees and variety offered if you have any questions.

I bought a thornless Blackberry, Goji berry, red papaya, pineapples, Meyer lemon tree, Red Jaboticaba and a Sweetheart banana. Already have too many large trees so skipped Mango, Lychee, and Avocado. Almost bought another Sapodilla though since it has performed real well beachside.

I'm trying to build up my citrus stock from losing all my trees from TropStormFayFlood.

I got:

Murcott Honey Tangerine
Ponkan Mandarin
Honey Bell Tangelo
Orlando Tangelo

and a red jaboticaba.

I was out of town and missed it.

But told two different people I work with who said they were going on Saturday that if they saw a coconut cream mango (been looking for one local for awhile, supposed to be a great mango for container growing, great taste, texture and good producer) or cherry of the Rio Grande to get me them.

Found out today that one person only had extra room in his car for a Rio Grande, other one did pick me up a CC mango and a Rio Grande. He also picked up a Sweetheart lychee thinking I asked for that also (he had a pretty big list for himself and another person), I didn't but I bought that from him.

I did stop at the ECHO nursey over in North Fort Myers on my way back. Lots of neat stuff there. Picked up a Red Lime from them. If I knew more about the Grumichama (they had two varities) I might have bought one. Almost bought a lychee from them, but guess it is good that I didn't.

So I did pretty good for not being there.
