Ok.. I am a Mango growing rookie, but have a Keitt Mango tree that I put in the ground in December last year. It has enjoyed the warm winter and is growing nicely. It has some buds...or baby mangos growing on it. Is it ok or better to remove the small growths that friz out, but do not have a mango on it..or do you leave those on? Thanks.

How big is your tree? If it is small I wouldn't let any of the fruit develop. Take the fruit off and let the tree focus on branching and leafing out. When you say "frizz out" do you mean the flower spikes that did not have any flowers pollinated? If so, once those dry out, you can just snap them off. They break clean at the base of the flower stalk. ------------------------- |
